The Mindset and Positioning involved in posting multiple times per week.
In my mind there are two ways that many creator’s go about YouTube. There is one path where posting less often but with “idea based content” meaning that the thought of what the video will be about is pre-planned (ex. Mr Beast).
Or there is relationship based content, where subscribers are there to have a relationship with the creator and less so about the specific events in the video. (ex. Casey Neistat) [More Info]
A Divided Attention for Job Security and Artistic Content.
And one of the difficulties among that statement is that those two ideas don’t always align, especially in the beginning.
An example of that in the film industry is when networking through different indie or studio shoots, there comes a point where you are able to do your job well, but it doesn’t feel like you have contributed enough to the story for yourself to even add it to your reel.
As a result, even if you are able to network on set, getting paid to continue to help create, you…

I’m currently a sophomore in DePaul University studying Film and Television to go into the workforce in the camera space for both film and animation based productions.
When schools began to shut down in March 2020, I decided to continue to take online courses and complete my General Education classes alongside some of my major requirements. But by my Winter quarter of 2020–2021, I realized that I am supposed to be taking hands-on production courses that when taught online from what I have heard is simply making YouTube videos with a bit of feedback.

I’m not sure if it was just the illustrations or the funny one liners I would read, but around eight years old I had found an affinity for Calvin and Hobbes.
I have read things like Dilbert, Fox Trot, and What Rhymes with Orange before, and while I enjoyed them, I found that a lot of them feel only representative of the…
If you are into cinema, you’ve probably heard the name Hitchcock a bunch. But what really makes him so special? In this article, I talk about what makes him unique, and how his work displays these concepts.
Hitchcock’s influences of German cinema through the shadows and emphasis of visuals brought from silent cinema, furthered his venture of incorporating Eisenstein’s discovery of the soviet montage which allowed his films to be filled with depth through the framing of his cinematography, concise editing, and intricate use of sound.
Films are mainly a visual medium due to their silent cinema origins, and emphasizing…
Its Quarantine 2020: you just finished how to bake sour dough bread from a video off of Tiktok and now you’re scrolling through your social media feed, finding what can bog your time until its close enough to bed time so you can look at memes in bed rather than the couch.
Don’t worry most of us are doing a very similar routine, but I think I got something that can spice up your day a bit.
If you’re like me you are missing the small moments in the day.
Not the big planned hang outs with your co-workers and…
